The Assyrian American Community of Arizona gathered together on August 7th at Arrowhead Country Club to commemorate our Assyrian Nation's Martyrs.

Father Sargon Yaro from St Peters Assyrian Church of the East lead the evening off in prayer and a moment of silence for our martyrs. Speeches were conducted by Helen Talia, Dr. Nahrain Rasho Bet Younadam, and Sam Darmo reflecting on our martyrs, the Semele Massacre, and the Assyrian Genocide.

A series called; Remember Their Name, Know Their Story, Honor Their Legacy was ready by members which highlighted the biographies of several of our martyrs. An art exhibit showcasing Assyrian Genocides over time was also displayed. The exhibit was showcased at Arizona State University during Genocide Awareness Week (the largest Genocide Symposium in North America).
