Assyria Day

It was a beautiful Tuesday morning as we embarked on Assyria Day at the Arizona State Capitol. A beautiful display of the Akitu table, Art display, and various Assyrian books surrounded the Senate lawn as legislatures and guests embraced in the Assyrian culture and history.

At 1:00pm, we headed to the House of Representatives to the reading of the Assyrian New Year proclamation.

Thank you to Rep. Justin Wilmeth for spearheading the proclamation and to all the volunteers that were able to make Assyria Day a huge success. Happy Assyrian New Year!
