Assyrian New Year Billboard Competition and Locations

Congratulations to our two Assyrian New Year Billboard competition winners!!

Our judges, Lucretia Torva, Robert Gentile, Ashor Chamoun, and Dr. Ramina Jajoo have named the $250 cash prize winners as Rabel BetShmuel from Chicago, IL for his submission of Ishtar Gate and Elizabeth Tullo from Phoenix, AZ. for her submission of Tree of Life.

Rabel Bet Shmuel took a traditional approach using a lotus flower border, Ishtar Gate inspired blue color palette with the Assyrian flag anchoring the white text in the middle.

Elizabeth Tullo’s design was centered around spring with the Aramaic text in the background, and the Tree of Life in gold pattern with the poppy flower.

The three billboard locations will be up starting on March 22nd until April 11th located along the I-17 s/o Glendale Ave Facing North, Loop 101 & Cardinals Way Facing North, and I-10 500' w/o 143 Freeway Facing East. You can view the billboard locations on this map.
